BRILLIANT VICTORY FOR BRITISH FORCES
ARAB AND NATIVE FORCES DEFEATED
by Our Correspondent

Today I witnessed yet another example of the sheer bravery of the British Forces stationed on this island. Fresh from their recent victories over the oppressive Arab traders and their despicable allies, the local natives, the British Forces, under the command of the dashing Sir Charles Buckpasser-Cleverley, advanced upon the impregnable fortifications behind which these wily villains had fled. Ignoring the almost overwhelming firepower of the insurgents the gallant forces of the Empire advanced in line of battles, led by the armoured cars of the Scouts, who were ably supported by the Punjabis and Jats. The armoured cars were disabled early in the battle, but not before they had revealed the positions of the insurgent artillery, which was quickly despatched by our own gallant artillery. The most effective barrage caused the majority of the insurgent forces to flee in terror, leaving behind only a small force of cowardly renegades and Arabs. These were easily pushed aside, and the fortifications were occupied.

Sir Charles, who shared in his troops triumph, and whose hat was shot from his head whilst leading the advance, said after the battle that it was "a near run thing", and that he was very proud of the way in which his forces acted.

Casualties are reported to have been light amongst the British Forces involved in the action, although the Punjabis have suffered a mild mauling.

ARAB PLOT DISCOVERY BY BUNGLER
by Our Correspondent

The perfidious Arabs have, yet again, proved how little they can be trusted. Working in co-operation with the European authorities on this island, our ace reporter, Hapman Flincher, has discovered that the leader of the Arabs, Wazir Aminitago, has proposed to both the British and the Germans that he could be relied upon in event of war breaking out.

We here publish the complete text of this diabolical letter -
It is in my heart that in these troubled times there should be peace and accord between our peoples despite the occasional misunderstanding in the past. By the Beard of the Profit (sic) I am sure that the Great, Masterful, and Judicious British (or German) Administration will not allow these slights and inconsequential difficulties to mar our future friendship.
It is further in my (Ed. BLACK) heart that my people and I may join with the Great British (or German) Empire ... in its stand against the Germans (or British).
... We might be of great assistance in guiding your brave soldiers over the smooth paths of the island by the trackways known only to my people. I am sure that for this and other Information, our gallant future allies will not be ungrateful to their unworthy (Ed. HOW TRUE!) servants, and will be so moved as to let me know the extent of their gratitude IN ADVANCE (Ed. MONEY GRABBING D...O, W...G, etc.).
May your wives bear you many sons, may your camels drop many young, may your cattle prosper, your rams and ewes bleat contentedly, and your cuckoo clocks never cease chiming.

The Editor wishes to thank the British and German authorities in their help in bringing this perfidious act by the Arabs to light.

  A WELCOME TO OUR ALLIES!
by Our Correspondent

The Bungler takes this opportunity to bring to the notice of our readers that the South Asia Squadron of the Imperial Russian Fleet has arrived in our waters.

The Squadron, which contains several armoured vessels, is commanded by that illustrious commander of the Russo-Japanese War, Admiral Rippanikasov. The Admiral is ably supported by Rear Admiral Nokisblokoff, who commands the Cruising Division of the Squadron.

We remind our readers of Admiral Rippanikasov's superb war record. During the previously named conflict, the Admiral, then a Vice Admiral of the Imperial Fleet, commanded the little known Black Sea Squadron which was sent to the aid of the Far East Fleet. The Squadron, which was made up of very old, but well maintained Ironclads (including IGOR III, TSAR BOROG, TRIV LUPID and XASER IV), attempted to force its way through the Bosforous. The Squadron here was attacked by a Japanese Torpedo-Boat, which was disguised as a Turkish Fishing Boat, and despite high casualties, the Squadron was able to beat off the attack. It was decided, however, that the risk of further attack was too high, and the Squadron returned to base, where its commander was feted, and where, subsequently Admiral Rippanikasov was awarded the Cross of Saint Egberd the Unsteady, in recognition of his valour.

Rear Admiral Nokisblokoff also has an illustrious past. He is especially remembered for his work in clearing Lake Baikal of pirates, during which he lost the use of his left eye.

With this reinforcement it is hoped that this island will soon be rid of that dreaded threat to its trade and communications, the despicable Von Spee and his motley collection of the sweepings of Hamburg. We do not fear the German Squadron, but the sooner it is defeated the better!
