Bhurtpore Gun 8" SBML - 17 tons 15 cwt. - -

Bronze gun, cast in 1677. Captured during the Siege of Bhurtpore (1826).

Sikh 6 pdr. - SBML - - 6 lbs. -

Bronze field gun. Captured at the Battle of Mudkee (or Mudki) (1845).

Whitworth 1½ pdr. - BL - - 1.5 lbs. -

Hexagonal Bore Rifled Breech Loading Gun used for trials by the British Army during the 1860s.

75mm Maxim-Nordenfelt 75mm QF - - - -

Built at Erith, Kent. Sold to one of the Boer Republics, it was captured by the British at the Battle of Elandslaagte. It was then used during the defence of Ladysmith.

75mm Krupp 75mm QF - - 13.5 lbs. -

Used by the Transvaal Staatsartillerie during the Boer War.

'The Wolf' Gun - ML - - - -

Constructed in workshops at Mafeking during the siege. Designed by Major Panzera, it was named 'The Wolf' after Colonel Baden-Powell (it was his nickname).

The first mass-produced field gun with a fully effective recoil system.

Used by Swedish Field Artillery batteries.

Manufactured in Seville (Sevilla), Spain from 1885 onwards. Designed by Colonel Plasencia. It was used in Morocco.

24cm M/69 24cm BL - 14 tons 12 cwt. 316.8 lbs. 1290

The first breech loading, rifled gun used by the Swedish Navy. 24 were manufactured by Finspongs Bruk. This example was used to arm the coastal defence monitor Sölve.

Manufactured in Spain. Emplaced at Castell Montjuic/Castillo de Montjuich (Barcelona).
